Description
Innocent drinks, maker of juices and smoothies, has built a $250m carbon neutral site in Rotterdam, they call it - ‘the earth’s favourite little healthy drinks factory’ named “the blender”. The aim was to build - for people, for the planet and for better business. The innovations in the plant reduce waste energy and materials, minimise the water required, and the all electric site it is powered up entirely with renewables to deliver a climate neutral operation.
The all-electric plant in Rotterdam is powered by a combination of grid and on-site renewable energy. Using the most up to date LED technology and wireless controls, Southgate Lighting provided a full lighting and controls installation to help the new facility maintain its carbon neutral status. Products manufactured by Southgate Lighting at their manufacturing facility in Drighlington, were delivered directly to The Netherlands to ensure no delays.
