Environmental Issues

Southgate Lighting are deeply aware of the effect lighting and manufacturing has on the environment and we strive to reduce our carbon footprint in various ways:

• The use of Low Mercury/Mercury Free Fluorescent Lamps & Low Energy LED has been adopted throughout the range of products we offer.
• Producing energy efficient luminaires that meet the "Enhanced Capital Allowance" Scheme, along with using control systems to calculate and minimize energy usage.
• Recycling as much material as possible from our offices, products and packaging including; cardboard packaging, office equipment, metals/plastics from luminaires and lamps.
• Our WEEE responsibilities are as an associate member, registration number WEE/FAOO81 UM with REC-O-LIGHT.
